The 5th East Asian Games was held in Hong Kong from 5 - 13 December 2009. Around 2,300 elite athletes competed for gold medals of 262 competition events under 22 sports, making it the largest international multi-sport event ever held in Hong Kong.

Wide Loyal named as an official lighting supplier of 2009 East Asian Games. The Games is more than a sports event. It is the first time for the city to host a large-scale multi-sport international event. It is an important milestone for Hong Kong.
